FAQs

Appointments and Scheduling

How do I schedule an appointment? In order to schedule an appointment, you must first do a consult so that we may set you up with a therapist who is the right fit for you. Fill out our contact form on the website!

What are your office hours? Our office hours vary as our therapists create their own schedules. Some of our therapists offer early morning, after school, or evening appointments to accommodate different schedules. Because of these high demand times, however, wait times are longer.

Do you offer virtual therapy sessions? Yes, we offer virtual therapy sessions via secure video conferencing for clients who prefer or require remote access to therapy. You can access our telehealth platform from any computer, tablet, or smart phone.

Payment and Insurance

What are your fees for therapy sessions? Our fees vary depending on the type and length of the session. For a standard 50 minute session, our private pay fees range from $120-$175 dependent on therapist. We do have limited sliding scale spots available, which will require the completion of our sliding scale application. Please contact our office for specific pricing information.

Do you accept insurance? Presently, we accept BCBS, Aetna, and Cigna. Please contact our office to verify insurance information.

What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and certain health savings accounts (HSAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs). Payment is due at the time of service.

Therapy Process

What can I expect during my first therapy session? During your first session, your therapist will conduct an initial assessment to understand your concerns and goals. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine if the therapist is a good fit for you.

How long does each therapy session last? Individual sessions typically last 50 or 90 minutes.

How many sessions will I need? The number of sessions varies based on individual needs and goals. Some clients see significant progress in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy.

Confidentiality

Is therapy confidential? Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental part of therapy. All information shared in therapy sessions is kept private and confidential, with certain exceptions as required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others).

Additional Support

Can I switch therapists if I don’t feel a good fit? Absolutely! Finding the right therapist is crucial for effective therapy. If you feel that your current therapist isn’t the right fit, we encourage you to discuss this with us so we can match you with another therapist who better suits your needs.

Do you offer emergency services? We do not provide emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For urgent support, consider contacting a crisis hotline such as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
